The Professional Development Scheme (PDS) is a joint venture between GfK NOP and the UK's Market Research Society (MRS). The PDS is a three year programme aimed at graduates and other employees starting out on a career in Market Research. By the end of the programme participants will have obtained two professional qualifications, the MRS Advanced Certificate and the MRS Diploma, and will be eligible for Full Membership of the MRS. The MRS is the world's largest professional body for market researchers and the only awarding body officially recognised by the UK government to provide vocationally related qualifications in market, social and opinion research.
