GfK NOP has been a leading online research agency since the emergence of the internet. We have been measuring and using the internet as a research tool since the early 1990s.

We offer a comprehensive range of online research facilitates, both qualitative and quantitative. As leading exponents of online research we have lately undertaken an increasing number of research projects using multi-modal approaches, in which we mix modes using online, telephone, IVR and personal interviewing.

In the last 12 months we have completed over 9 million online interviews in 32 countries. We currently have over 1.4 million online panellists in the GfK NOP Global Consumer Panel. The global panel will increase to 2 million in 2007 and cover 27 countries.

Additionally we run dozens of proprietary panels that we have built for our clients to facilitate them communicating with their customers, their potential customers or indeed their competitors’ customers.

These panels are managed by one of the most sophisticated panel management system in the world and hosted on our dedicated computer installations using the most advanced technology infrastructure available.

The data collected online is reported through state of the art real time web reporting tools and in many cases through online portals using dashboards. The global roll of the GfK NOP "KnowledgeShare” Portal has made the implementation of online reporting portals available throughout GfK NOP.

The panels have been used for all forms of quantitative research including multi-media projects, real time diary studies and complex conjoint analysis programmes as well as for concept testing, NPD, advertising, pricing, brand research and customer satisfaction.

We have led the way in utilising these panels for qualitative research including blogs, bulletin boards and online focus groups. Recently we have developed online "community sites” for local government agencies to consult with their business constituencies in a collaborative manner. These sites are driven by the desire to encourage interactivity and for the respondents to generate content and for the client to meet the needs identified by their participants.
