The MRS Conference
March 2007
Our major celebratory event took place at the Annual MRS Conference in March where we had a strong presence during this annual meeting of the top names in our industry.
Principal SponsorshipTo kick off, we supported the Conference as a Principal Sponsor, which was particularly apt, since it so happens that the MRS is also fifty in 2007, and therefore the entire conference was being themed around "The Next Fifty Years”.
We won three speaking places at the Conference:
Mike Cooke and Nick Buckley presented a paper entitled: ‘Right brain, weak signals, Web 2.0, social networks and the future of Market Research’;
Corrine Moy and Chris Davis gave a paper on ‘The dawn of the ethical brand’ – the core data from which was also published in an exclusive partnership with the Financial Times;
Rezina Chowdhury and Darren Yaxley discussed ‘Integration, separation or a turn to extremism?’
Client Breakfast on the first dayIn addition, on the first day of the conference, we held a client breakfast, called "Morning stretches for your mind: a fun interactive session designed to warm-up mental muscles for the rest of the conference”. The session was run by Shari Weber, Nick Chiarelli and Richard Matthews.
Client Banquet in the Brighton PavilionAll very good, I hear you say, but what of the fun side? Well, we certainly couldn’t celebrate our 50th without a purely social occasion, and so we hosted a very special banquet for a hand-picked group of clients in the Brighton Pavilion on the Thursday of the Conference.
