GfK Automotive has given me immense insight into the way in which research can impact on the automotive industry. I have been lucky enough to work in an environment where great team spirit and warmth is a central part of every day, and one where the best training to suit my needs is at my fingertips, covering all the essential tools of the trade that I need to develop a successful career within Market Research

I enjoy my role at GfK NOP because it involves working on a large, international study. In my work, I am in daily contact with several fieldwork agencies, based in various countries. This gives me the opportunity to travel; both within Europe and to other continents. Moreover, I am often called upon to put my French and Spanish language skills into practice; on one day I could be speaking to an agency contact in their own language, the next I could be proof reading translated study documents. Being part of the global network of GfK companies has meant that I am often working with GfK colleagues in other countries. This usually results in a friendly and productive collaboration.
Since joining the company I have been based in a small regional office. I enjoy being part of a tightly-knit team in which everyone knows each other. The office provides a pleasant and relaxed working environment, in contrast to the bustle of a major city.

Working for GfK Automotive means working in a very international setting. I work with colleagues from different countries and different cultural backgrounds. We have virtual teams in India and Bulgaria. GfK Automotive runs several big international projects which means that I have the opportunity to liaise with clients from across all of Europe and other parts of the world. It's a challenge to deal with issues on a project that arise out of a particular cultural situation and it's fascinating to share different experiences with colleagues. It broadens your view of the world and makes you more sensitive towards people and their cultures.

It is good to work for a company that takes pride in what they do, by promoting a high standard of market research. The project I work on has given me the opportunity to deal with different agencies and cultures worldwide, and has been a great way of using my language skills. GfK offers a nice working environment and is always prepared to listen to new ideas. The forum I recently joined allows us to take the ideas and opinions of junior staff right to the top.
We are encouraged to join training courses and the ‘All Staff' meetings provide a great opportunity to hear what’s going on in the company, and also prove to be enjoyable socialising events.
