The true cost of University

Nus100x100

A GfK NOP survey, carried out on behalf of the NUS and HSBC, has found that prospective students tend to underestimate their spending (when compared to current students) by just shy of £20 a week - a sizeable amount for a student on a budget. A total of 3,135 current students and 250 prospective students were interviewed. This survey is part of the larger NUS Student Experience Research, also based on research by GfK NOP, due to be released in November 2008.

On the Horizon

Onthehorizon50x50 ‘On the Horizon’ is a service we introduced in 2006 to share with you the major trends we see in financial services, and to offer our views on where those trends are taking us.

These pieces cover a variety of subjects and draw on our knowledge of the financial services market and wider consumer trends, together with our own research and analysis of information from the public domain.

We hope you find these interesting, informative and challenging, and welcome your feedback.
