Technology concept testing launched

Techtest100x100 GfK Technology is launching a new Concept testing service, TechTest.

We are developing a normative database, which contains technology specific cases and therefore allows clients to compare their results with relevant benchmarks.

The key features of our approach include: 

  • All the concepts tested in the database are from the Technology category
  • We are rapidly building our normative database from a combination of our seed-funding together with clients eager to participate
  • Because we are starting from scratch we can ensure a high standard and consistency in the format of the concepts tested, and also employ excellent copywriting and visualiser skills
  • We can adapt the survey to meet individual requirements, while ensuring that the core questions remain
  • We have an open policy, so that clients can have a very topline view of which concepts are being used for comparison purposes (this is typically a brief phrase such as mobile gaming)

TechTest is all conducted online, consistent with the vast majority of the available market for technology products. This also creates cost and speed efficiencies, which we are able to pass on to our clients. We are also able to follow up post-interview in order to track actual behaviour and to validate our volume estimates.

We also focus on consistent guidelines in concept stimuli. The concepts we show use a small number of visuals accompanied by concise copywriting under each. An example of this is shown below:

Although we can work with other concept materials (eg video), we recommend keeping consistent with the style above, in order to aid comparisons. Clients are able to review and shape drafts of the concept materials prior to them being finalised.
