GfK Technology is launching a new Concept testing service, TechTest. We are developing a normative database, which contains technology specific cases and therefore allows clients to compare their results with relevant benchmarks.
The key features of our approach include:
TechTest is all conducted online, consistent with the vast majority of the available market for technology products. This also creates cost and speed efficiencies, which we are able to pass on to our clients. We are also able to follow up post-interview in order to track actual behaviour and to validate our volume estimates.
We also focus on consistent guidelines in concept stimuli. The concepts we show use a small number of visuals accompanied by concise copywriting under each. An example of this is shown below:
Although we can work with other concept materials (eg video), we recommend keeping consistent with the style above, in order to aid comparisons. Clients are able to review and shape drafts of the concept materials prior to them being finalised.
The key benefits of our approach can be summarised as:
The service is currently available in the UK and we are in the process of setting up normative databases in the US and Germany. We expect other markets to follow soon.
